When are your office hours?
Our office hours are weekdays from 9 am - 5 pm, we are closed on weekends and holidays.

 

When do you offer technical support hours?
We offer technical support hours weekdays 9am - 9pm, and Saturday from 10 am - 2 pm, we are closed on Sundays.

How long has RCIP been in business?
We have proudly been in business since 1996.

What do I do if I have received a busy signal?
Please check the local access number we have provided you with to  make sure you are dialing it correctly. Also, check your dial properties ensuring that features are disabled properly.

 

Will I get disconnected if I am idle for too long?
If your connection is idle for 30 minutes, our servers will automatically disconnect you. At any time, you are welcome to reconnect. You will not be disconnected if your e-mail program is open and is set to regularly check for new e-mail. 

 

How do I change my password?
Please call us during our office hours and we will change your password. Alternatively, you can change your e-mail password by logging into your e-mail account at http://mail.rcip.com

 

Why is my password not working?
Make sure the password you are entering is correct and in lower case. If that still fails, please call us during office hours to make sure your account has not been disabled.

 

How do I disable call waiting?
To disable call waiting include *70 before the local access number.

Are your access numbers local to me?
RCIP offers dial-up numbers within California. Be certain that you use the correct access number to avoid long distance charges. It is your responsibility to check with your phone company. If you move, please do not assume that you are still within our local calling area. Look up your local access number at this website: http://www.rcip.com/dialup/accessnumber.php


  How do I add more e-mail accounts?
Call us during technical support hours. We will create, activate  and guide you through the set-up.

 

Do you limit the size of my e-mail messages?
No, we do not directly limit the size of an e-mail message. However, the inbox storage allocated on our servers is set to 30MB as a default setting. E-mails over 30MB will be returned to sender. There is no limit on the size of outgoing e-mail. Please be aware that the recipient's e-mail must support that size. Also keep in mind that a very large e-mail will take some time to send and be received via dial-up connection. It takes approximately 5 minutes per 1 MB on a 56K modem.

 

My e-mail program is getting stuck on one huge e-mail, where can I go to fix this?
We suggest that you check your e-mail through webmail first. You can check your e-mail at, http://mail.rcip.com. You will need to delete the e-mail in question to resolve the issue.

 

Can I retrieve lost e-mail after my computer crashes?
If you are using an e-mail program that removes your e-mail off our servers, and your computer does crash, you will not be able to retrieve your e-mail.

How do I reduce the amount of junk e-mail?
We now offer a service that will filter out junk e-mail. Visit our main website: http://www.rcip.com to learn more about the service, or call us during technical support hours. If you do not want to sign up for this service, you can also change your e-mail, which can be done with a phone call to us during office hours. 

 

How much website space do I get?
Depending on your account, you are entitled to webspace provided by RCIP. Please call us during technical support hours to find out how much space you get. To activate webspace, please call us during office hours. 

 

What will I need to create my own website with you?
You will need an FTP program to upload your pages on to your designated space. To create a website you will need a website editor such as Microsoft FrontPage or Macromedia Dreamweaver. You can find other software available for free, or for a small fee, at websites like http://www.download.com or http://www.tucows.com

 

What are some popular FTP programs?
WS FTP, Cute FTP, and Smart FTP are just among the many FTP programs available to you. You may download these programs at: http://www.download.com please be aware that some FTP programs are not free.

I have uploaded my pages, but when I visit it, I don't see it. Why not?
Make sure you have set your main page, the page you would like people to see when they enter your web address, to default.htm 

 

What forms of payment do you accept?
You can pay by cash, check, money order or credit card. Please call to inquire about payment terms and scheduling.

 

What types of credit cards do you accept? 
We accept: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. 

 

How do I cancel?
A 30 day written request must be received by our office. We accept fax, US mail or e-mail.

When will you charge my credit card?
Accounting charges credit card payments around the first week of every month.

When will I receive my billing statement?
If you pay by credit card, you will not receive a billing statement. Otherwise, accounting sends out billing statements in quarterly invoices.
